Our client would like to add a Front-End (JavaScript) developer to our team. The person we are looking for is not a run of the mill JS developer. You build UI’s that push the boundaries of what’s possible in modern browsers, but fall back gracefully to the older ones. You write modular JavaScript and respect refactoring. You’ve got a personal github repo that you’re not ashamed of, and you’d love to share it with us. In short, you’re a talented engineer who loves JavaScript, and wants to write it day in and day out. But you’re not limited to strictly JS. You’re very comfortable with the other elements of front-end development, including the latest & greatest of CSS3 & HTML5. You’re familiar with frameworks that follow MV*. You’re not a stranger to server side coding either, especially not spinning up restful services.

Front-end web applications development utilizing the latest technology and development methodologies.
Working with various departments within the organization to understand business requirements, design, and develop solutions.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Willing to be flexible and work flexible hours when necessary to achieve company and individual goals

Qualifications:
Front-end development skills are critical, with proven web application design experience and a portfolio.
Expert-level JavaScript (maybe CoffeeScript or TypeScript), in the context of user interaction and responsive web application design.
Experience with a JavaScript templating (e.g. Mustache/Handlebars) and a client-side JavaScript framework like Backbone, Knockout, Ember, Angular (Backbone preferred).
Expert-level HTML5 (pushState, localStorage, data attributes) and CSS3.
Strong JavaScript debugging and DOM inspection using webkit developer tools, Firebug, and Internet Explorer F12 tools.
Cross-browser compatibility knowledge, including HTML5 polyfills and graceful fallbacks for old browsers.
DOM scripting interfaced with web service calls (you should understand passing/receiving JSON to and from web services and modifying the DOM as a result)
Basic graphic design (simple logos, icons, etc) would be nice.
LESS or SASS experience are nice to have.
