The successful candidate will have 1 -3 years of previous financial industry experience, with a concentration in the areas of collections and/or lending/credit. Also important are Business-related (i.e., accounting, finance, management, economics), college-level courses or combination of experience and Credit Union or financial industry-specific training. Also required are demonstrated communication skills in order to communicate effectively with members, vendors and coworkers; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.  The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail and follow through.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;&lt;br /&gt;&#10;&#10;Essential Functions of the position include: Resolve negative share accounts and delinquent loan accounts with a high level of expertise and measurable success; keep accurate and current records of all collection activity (e.g., correspondence with members, actions taken for recovery of past due accounts); perform all duties and responsibilities associated with collection functions including; collection agency files, negative share accounts, the courtesy pay overdraft program, fraud, repossessions, charge off reviews, small claim and bankruptcy proceedings, garnishments, the &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;CPI&lt;/span&gt; program, documentation, correspondence, and department reports.
